To be part of Trainers’ Guild, each individual must undergo a rigorous assessment and meet the detailed requirements specified in our framework.

What is Trainers’ Guild Framework?

The Trainers’ Guild Framework serves as comprehensive criteria for joining the Trainers’ Guild. With a focus on fostering continuous growth and development, this framework outlines the essential skills and core professional values necessary for membership in the Trainers’ Guild.

Skills:

Trainers wishing to get recognition must possess the following skills:

S1. Relevant and up-to-date industry knowledge and experience
S2. Ability to design, develop and deliver training activities
S3. Ability to adapt to meet the varying needs of those being trained
S4. Ability to use appropriate learning technologies
S5. Ability to take feedback from others to improve practice
S6. Ability to review the effectiveness of training activities

Professional Values:

Trainers wishing to get recognition must additionally demonstrate the following professional values:

P1. Ensure equality, diversity and inclusion
P2. Ensure professional competence and due care
P3. Ensure continuing professional development of self
P4. Ensure continuing professional development of those being trained

  • You are only focusing on doing the minimum while designing, developing and delivering training so that it can be made easy and comfortable for the learners

How do I evidence that I possess these skills and professional values?

You will be asked to write a reflective account of between 1,000 and 1,500 words to cover all the above skills and professional values. The reflective account will take a holistic look of how you apply the above skills and values in your practice.
Depending on the level you are applying for (Associate, Fellow or Senior Fellow), you will be expected to cover the following:

How do you apply these skills and professional values in your own practice as a trainer, as well as influence the practice of others, such as colleagues or subordinates?

How will you verify the information stated in the Reflective Account?

Our team of experts will evaluate your reflective account to ensure that it meets the requirements laid out in the Trainers’ Guild Framework. Once the Reflective Account is deemed to have met the requirements, it will be forwarded to your nominated referee(s) to verify that the details are correct.

What is Qualifying Criteria for each of these levels?

We have carefully designed the following qualifying criteria to ensure that the chosen trainers from diverse professions exemplify excellence and significant achievements in their respective fields, before they are recognised at one of the three levels.

Qualification
